A Little Bit of Paris in Santa Monica

You’ve seen your fair share of brasseries in recent months.

But the latest one to open in Santa Monica promises to make both Francophiles and foodies salivate: introducing Anisette Brasserie.

Cheffed by LA culinary icon Alain Giraud (Bastide, Lavande), Anisette is as authentic as NYC’s Balthazar (trust us, that’s as good as it gets). Step inside Santa Monica’s Historic Clock Tower Building, make a left, and you’ll be greeted with tall ceilings, a 36-foot zinc bar, mirrored columns, and a charming hostess. From there, you’re in for an epic French comfort food meal starring pan roasted chicken, steak frites, and seafood platters, all sourced locally (they are just around the corner from the Farmer’s Market, after all).

Polish it all off with a Cab or Bordeaux from the extensive wine list and take your time unwinding.

When in Paris…


Anisette opens with breakfast service next week (call ahead first), and dinner service in two weeks.
